BS National nucleus colony – plain polystyrene box

Description

Our BS National nucleus colony of bees are available when we have an excess of bee colonies. If you are interested in purchasing bees if we have an excess, please complete a Contact form to let us know of your interest. The bees are supplied in a non-returnable polystyrene nucleus hive (unpainted – green polystyrene) with coloured entrance disc colour of your choice.  The bees span 6 x SN4 Hoffman self-spacing frames. You can expect 4 to 5 frames of bees containing all stages of brood, 1 to 2 frames of stores and a marked queen.

The bees may be available in late spring/summer. When we have an exact date, we will contact you to arrange collection or delivery. You can either collect your bees directly from us or if you live within a 75 mile radius, we can deliver them personally to you to ensure they reach you in good condition. This personal service will incur an additional fee which will vary depending on the distance we need to travel.  We do not send bees through the post as this can lead to a severe loss in the number of bees during transit that can weaken the colony considerably. This is not acceptable to us – we prefer they reach you in tip top condition. You will receive a set of instructions on what to do with your bees once you get them home. The poly nuc hive/box is yours to keep.
